Located in southwest Washington State, the Gifford Pinchot National Forest encompasses 1,368,300 acres and includes the 110,000-acre Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument established by Congress in 1982.
The USDA Forest Service, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, intends to acquire by contract stream restoration activities designed to improve fish habitat. The work includes logging and hauling trees, with a minimum length of 50 feet, to be used in the installation of approximately 36 log clusters comprised of roughly 953 logs. The structures will be designed to create scour pools in Clear Creek.
